Anna Kavehmehr is a freelance illustrator / designer based in Toronto, Canada. She holds a Master's Degree in Digital Media from Ryerson University and a Bachelor's degree of Graphic Design. Telling stories through images has been her lifelong passion, which has led her to specialize in book illustration and narrative design. During her studies at Ryerson University she has created an Augmented Reality Picturebook of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". She has also illustrated George Orwell’s 1984, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, The Lepidoctor by Mick Jackson, and other projects in hand. She has also written several critiques on book illustrations in magazines.
Anna’s venture in the art world is not limited to illustration; she has great interest in photography and design.She has designed and painted the wall illustration for Thymio's booth at TIFF Kids digiPlaySpace in Toronto (2016). Her entry in the 2013 Worldwide Photowalk Competition was chosen as one of the best photos in Toronto. In the popular Disney’s 2012 "Mickey Mouse through the Years" Competition, she received a prize among hundreds of competitors for her fresh redesign of Mickey Mouse.
